Agnes experiments and designs in the convergent space between composition and improvisation, video and performance, the material and immaterial, producing electro-acoustic works, installations, and textural video pieces.  As a composer, Agnes writes for her own performances and releases as well as collaborations such as myrmyr, Dokuro, Evon, Oakland Active Orchestra, and other ensembles.  She performs using cello, voice, and electronics – often incorporating visual media into her solo performances.  As an installation artist, Agnes prefers to work with specific, forgotten sites, but has also transformed gallery spaces, buildings, and objects.
Agnes has performed or shown work internationally at the San Francisco Electronic Music Festival, Soundwave Series, 60×60, Audio Art Festival, Cologne Online Film Festival, The Streaming Festival, de Young Museum, THE LAB, ICMC and The Stone in NY.  Agnes has performed or collaborated with:  Terry Riley, Fred Frith, James Tenney, Frances-Marie Uitti, Pauline Oliveros, Torben Ulrich, Henry Grimes, Lisle Ellis, Jon Raskin, Phillip Greenlief, Miya Masaoka, Double Vision, Capacitor, Oakland Active Orchestra, and many others.  She studied film/video at Northwestern University and received her MFA in Electronic Music and Recording Media from Mills College.
In 2011 Agnes received a Fulbright Grant to research music, technology, and media in Kraków, Poland and was affiliated with Electro-Acoustic Music Studio at the Academy of Music in Kraków.  Currently, she resides in the Chicago area working on her newest project “Human Development 0-1”.
Agnes’ music has been hailed as “a distinctive voice in the electro-acoustic field” by Textura, and “gorgeous” by XLR8R.  Her duo with The Norman Conquest, Dokuro, is described by THE WIRE as “discreetly sculptured.”   Myrmyr her collaboration with Marielle Jakobson has numerous reviews for both albums with descriptions such as “soaring chamber compositions in perfect ambient space” by Boomkat.
