In 2009 Helena Espvall (Espers), Marielle Jakobsons, and I made a recording of improvised material. Both Marielle and I created a graphic scores for the occasion.  Hand-made CDs of ‘Improvisations for Strings and Electronics’ available on Feb. 14th from Arachni Discs with a digital release on bandcamp.

Here’s a sample of one of the tracks!

“Music that is dealing with long form, sustaining but also bending of tones, making this both melodic yet also abstract, gentle and majestic, moody and atmospheric. Somewhere in between modern classical music and improvised music, this is an excellent release.”

— Vital Weekly

“…the five settings might more aptly be characterized as ‘spontaneous compositions,’ given the level of cohesiveness and direction that emerges when the trio interact.”
